Well I figured Id try out this app since it dropped half in price recently. I have to say Im very dissapointed with this program. To give yon an idea what the game play is like you automatically start off in mid air and your goal is to shoot down enemy aircraft. The F15 Eagle has air to air missiles and you cant deploy them. You tap on the screen and you get your aiming circle with the aircraft locked on , but there is no way to fire any missiles. Your only option is to fire a terrible sounding machine gun that takes no effort to line up the enemy. There is no outside views and no airports in site. Handling is terrible althouh the frame rate isnt too bad. Bottom line dont waste your money on this app is isnt worth the price. As a PC user I fly Falcon 4.0 with photorealistic cockpits and amazing graphics so I guess I expect to much from an Ipod. Actually I looked closer and althou your missiles lock on to the enemy you need to have the ammo on board , I guess you collect missiles as you progress through the game. Overall its not too bad for $3.00.

This game is really bad, the graphics are terrible the game play is unbearable. You just have guns to start and the target is almost impossible to shoot down. This game is not worth 3 bucks, in fact it is not even worth it even if it was free.

This game is awsom. It is worth atleast 10 $ It is such a well put together game. The controls are easy to learn and right were you want them. Please add online play. I am not the best but i give this the best rating. Well Done. Peace! Meow!?!

I love this app. Had a bit of trouble getting it to load after the update to version 2.7 but sent a message to support and they got me up and running pronto. The problem I was having was that I couldnt get it to load past the splash screen after updating, but support suggested deleting the app from my iPhone and then re-installing. That was the end of the problem. Worth much more than the price. Nice work Snakehead...

Terrible flight model (very linear and unreal), poor graphics that dont draw you into the game at all, overly simplistic weapon controls and no expansion to additional weapons packs. Overall, one of the worst flight combat games available. If the game have better missions and a story line, you could maybe overlook the graphic deficiencies...but thats not the case. Save your money. Buy HAWX if you want amazing flight combat with awesome planes, weapons, missions, graphics and in-game rewards/promotions. Buy X-Plane Carrier if you want as close to real as you can get in a flight model with a bit of a combat mission element. I hope the developer expands this game to include lots of planes, lots of weapon packs and lots of interesting missions...there is the seed of a good game here, it just need time and attention to detail to help it mature.

Worst dogfighting simulator with very touchy controls for turning it is such a waste of money just get tom clancys HAWX It is 100x better than this game

Just learning the game but so far Im real impressed.

So my 9 year old wanted a good flight simulator game but we made the mistake of not reading the review. We thought it was a very cheap version of a fighter pilot game.

This app would be really cool if you could land on a carrier or refuel in mid air. And where is the Tomcat or Hornet come on! One more thing make where you can look at the jet on the outside while flying 4 stars for now. Good job!

this game is wack, so touchy... when u turn it turns way 2 much, and when u take off u almost flip over and u crash ... i want my mony back

I would like it if you could adjust sensitivity, add a few missions, and maybe a couple of new places to play in(a city and maybe a mountain range). Overall a very good game.

Mine didnt work but yesterday I went in the settings to the flying aces thing and reset the data then it worked but it might have been a one time thing

I too got the new update, and the game will not start. It just sits there loading. Update: 15 November 2009- Thanks to Pgotte, I was also able to get mine working again as well. I went to the iPhone settings page and opened up the "Flying Aces" settings there and switched on the "Reset Data" button. Then I was able to get the game working, however; I lost all previous game data and had to start the game all over again. I still only give 3 stars because we should not have to do that to get the game working again.
